Berlinale pick to release Wed. in Iran besides new titles

Iranian feature ‘Pig’ has been scheduled to release in the country’s movie theaters as of Wednesday.

The flick bowed at the 68th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in Germany.

Directed by Mani Haqiqi, ‘Pig’ depicts the story of Hassan, a filmmaker who has not been able to make any films lately, but his admired starlet can’t wait any longer and wants to leave and work with another director.

Hassan Majouni, Leila Hatami, Leili Rashidi, Parinaz Izadyar and Ali Baqeri are among the flick stars.

This comes as new films besides ‘Pig’ will receive public screening at select Iran cinemas. The new comers include titles such as ‘Don't Be Embarrassed' by Reza Maghsoudi, ‘Istanbul Juncture’ by Mostafa Kiaee, ‘Nostalgia Celebration’ by Pourya Azarbayjani and ‘Beyond the Clouds’ by Majid Majidi.
